Tourism Facilities
Restaurants and Malls

Cagayan de Oro has a variety of restaurants and nightspots to fit everyone’s fancy. Thirty-four restaurants offer Japanese, Italian, Chinese, Western, Korean and native Filipino cuisine.

Some popular fastfood chains are Jollibee, McDonald, Kentucky Fried Chicken, Pizza Hut, and Shakey's Pizza. But local businessmen offer innovative themes as well. Examples are Kagayanon specializing on ostrich meat, Bigby's, Sentro, Butcher's Best, Consuelo, P Joe's Diner, and the new SLERS Ham & Cafe.

Eight modern shopping centers sell local and imported products at reasonable prices. There are exotic fruits, vegetables and handicrafts in traditional markets.

Limketkai Center, the biggest mall in the city, is host to fastfood chains, moviehouses and boutiques carrying local and imported brandname items comparable to those in Manila. Other shopping centers –- Gaisano, Ororama Megacenter, Robinson, Makro and SM City -- provide for the needs of the growing consumer base.

Fifteen cinema houses offer airconditioned, spacious venues for motion picture entertainment. Some are equipped with Dolby sensurround technology system.

Night bars offer karaoke and live music entertainment provided by highly talented local artists. Occasionally, singers, actors and dancers from Cebu and Manila perform. Some venues invite families and businessmen to use the place for birthday parties and conventions.
