Real estate development has been very aggressive for the last five years, with focus on housing and mixed-use property and commercial center.

Misamis Oriental has 114 subdivisions for low and high-income customers. Of this, 101 are in Cagayan de Oro. Sellers usually offer house-and-lot packages with a minimum area of 80 square meters.

At least three real estate developers provide modern facilities and amenities: commercial centers, schools, churches, country clubs, golf courses, and others.
